About the Work
ANTIGONE: requiem per Patriarchus is a contemporary, interdisciplinary adaptation of Sophocles' Antigone created through a multi-year collaboration.
The work radically re-centers Antigone, multiplying her into seven Antigones and placing ancient tragedy in dialogue with contemporary structures of justice, gender, testimony, power, and public reckoning.

ANTIGONE: requiem per Patriarchus developed through a multi-year collaborative process with ensembles connected to the Women's Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center, Saint Louis University Theatre, SATE, and ERA.
The work's archive should be understood as a record of multiple contexts: writing, development, institutional collaboration, ensemble authorship, and public production.
