THE LAST SHOW ON EARTH

Equally Represented Arts (ERA) presents THE LAST SHOW ON EARTH, a multimedia, vignette-style play written by Joe Taylor and directed by Lucy Cashion.
Inspired by the films of Roy Andersson, THE LAST SHOW ON EARTH moves through a series of strange, funny, and quietly beautiful scenes about contemporary life in an increasingly mediated world. Rather than following a single linear plot, the play unfolds through loosely connected moments that accumulate into an emotional arc: from the ordinary to the existential, from the absurd to the intimate, from the noise of modern life to the question of what remains.
The audience is not outside the event. The play repeatedly breaks the fourth wall, blurring the line between performer and spectator and implicating the room in what it is watching. THE LAST SHOW ON EARTH asks what it means to be present — with one another, with our devices, with our loneliness, with our attention, and with the end of the world always somewhere in view.
