Never Let Go: A One-Woman Titanic

A one-woman Titanic fantasia about Rose Dawson, grief, performance, ambition, and refusing to let go.

Solo performance / pop-culture adaptation

2023

A one-woman Titanic fantasia about Rose Dawson, grief, performance, ambition, and refusing to let go.

About the Work

Never Let Go: a one-woman Titanic follows Rose Dawson after the sinking of the Titanic, still haunted by Jack Dawson and pursuing her dream of becoming an Academy Award-nominated actress.

Rose pitches the story of her own survival to producers and investors, shifting between past and present and blurring the distinction between reality, memory, fantasy, grief, and performance.

Process/Archive Note

Never Let Go: A One-Woman Titanic has more than one life in ERA's archive. The work exists as both a solo-performance fantasia and a theatrical investigation of memory, grief, pop culture, ambition, and survival.

The archive record will continue to distinguish between development, livestream, and staged production iterations as those materials are verified.
